OpusActa Privacy Policy
Effective date: 3 November 2026. OpusActa keeps your reports and photos on your phone. We do not collect them, see them or store them anywhere else.
Who we are
OpusActa is made by OpusActa Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the small amount of information described below. Contact: support@opusacta.com.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you put into OpusActa stays on your device: reports, items, photos, comments, your name and company details, your logo, your settings. The app has no user account and no server. We cannot access this data, and uninstalling the app deletes it unless you have made a backup.
What leaves your phone
Three things, all under your control:
- PDF reports and item cards you choose to share. They go to the app you pick in the share sheet (email, WhatsApp, Drive and so on). That app's privacy policy applies from then on.
- Backup files you choose to export. They go where you save them.
- Diagnostics you choose to send us when asking for support. They contain the app version, build, device type and the app's own log lines. They never contain report content or photos.
The update check
When the app opens with an internet connection it checks Expo's update service for a newer version of the app's code. That request carries your device's internet address, device type, operating system version and the app version. We do not receive this information and cannot link it to you. Expo Application Services is the provider; its privacy policy is at expo.dev/privacy. No other network request is made by the app.
Purchases
The full version is bought through the App Store or Google Play. The store handles payment and keeps the purchase record; we never see your payment details. The app only stores on your phone whether the purchase was made.
Support email
If you email us, we keep your email address and message for as long as needed to deal with your request and for up to 12 months after, then delete them. We use them for nothing else.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera: to take photos into a report.
- Photos: to pick existing photos into a report and, if you turn it on, to save photos taken in the app to your gallery.
- Notifications: not used.
- Location, contacts, microphone: not used.
Analytics, advertising, tracking
None. The app contains no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
The website
opusacta.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. It collects nothing about you unless you email us. The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., whose servers see your IP address and browser type in order to send you the pages and keep short-lived technical logs for security. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles that. The fonts and sample reports are served from our own site; no other company is involved.
Children
OpusActa is a work tool and is not directed at children under 16.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you (for most users: none), ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Email support@opusacta.com for any request.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy at opusacta.com/privacy and update the effective date. A change that affects what leaves your phone will also be shown in the app.
