OpusActa Terms of Use
Effective date: 3 November 2026. These terms apply to the OpusActa app for iPhone and Android, made by OpusActa Ltd ("we"). By installing or using the app you agree to them.
1. What the app is
OpusActa is a tool for creating site inspection reports from photos and notes and sharing them as PDF files. It works entirely on your device. We provide no account, no cloud storage and no guarantee that the app is suitable for any particular contract, inspection standard or legal purpose.
2. Free version and full version
The free version includes 5 shares. A share is one report PDF or one batch of item cards handed to the share sheet; previews do not count. The full version removes the limit. It is a one-time purchase made through the App Store or Google Play, tied to the store account that bought it. Restore purchases in the app brings it back on a new or reinstalled device signed in to the same store account. The store's own refund rules apply; we do not process payments or refunds ourselves.
3. Your content
Everything you create in the app is yours. We claim no rights in your reports, photos or details, and we never see them. You are responsible for what you put in a report and for whom you share it with, including any personal data of other people that your photos or notes contain.
4. Your data is on your device
Because the app keeps everything on your device, you are responsible for backups. Use Backup & Restore in Setup before changing phones, uninstalling or clearing storage. We cannot recover reports that were not backed up.
5. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under the rules of the store you got it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the app. On iPhone, Apple's standard licence terms for apps also apply where they go further than these.
6. Updates
The app may download updates to its own code when opened with an internet connection. Updates never read or send your content. We may change or withdraw features in future versions. If you have bought the full version, the share limit will stay removed.
7. Our liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of data, loss of business or any indirect loss arising from use of the app, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the full version. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Ending
You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. We may end your licence if you break these terms. Clauses 3, 7 and 9 continue afterwards.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer. If you have a problem, email us first and we will try to sort it out.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by posting a new version at opusacta.com/terms with a new effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
